Here at Little Paper House have had another fantastic year from the support of all you customer's from Weddings & Christenings to custom made card orders in the shop.

Fayre's Galore...!

Again we are so sorry for not posting recently...we have been in undated with Christmas Fayre's & it's just been manic!...but good fun :)

Just a quick update on where we are this week:

Wednesday Evening: Ockbrook School 7pm - 9pm

Thursday Evening: Parwich Memorial Hall 7pm - 9pm

Friday Evening: Abbotsholme School 7pm - 9pm

Saturday Day: Belper Scouts group at the Masonic Hall 10am - 12pm , Church Broughton 2pm - 4pm& Lady Manner's School in Bakewell 2pm - 5pm.

So if any of you bloggers are out & about near any of of Fayre's feel free to pop along & see us!

Not long til Xmas now....eeeek! 29 sleeps until Santa drops his presents off to all the good boys & girls :)

It's been a while...

Little Paper House would like to apologise for not posting recently!

We have had a few craft/christmas fayre's! & a christening!

We have loved every minute, visiting new venues & meeting new people.

The christening was fabulous too, such a wonderful day & the sun shined for baby Farrah.

Upcoming fayre's:

This Wednesday we are at Ecclesbourne School in Duffield  from 7pm - 9pm

This Saturday we are at Derby High School in Littleover from 10am - 3pm

Great Success....

We would just like to thank everybody that came to John Preston's Christmas Open Evening last night!

The evening was a great success, lots of Christmas presents & decorations bought!

Well the cold weather has started to set in, so will winter will soon be upon us! 

Christmas is fast creeping up on this year so get making them Christmas cards, buying them presents & get in the festive spirit!!

Just remember...The clocks back tonight so we all get an extra hour in bed! yippee :-)

Run run as fast as you can...

Thought i'd experiment with my new stamp from Hero Arts. so after stamping on white card & colouring him in Brown Sugar Jenni Bowlin ink pad, i then cut him out to mount on a tag.

I decided to create my own back ground , making a checked effect with the Stick Candy Jenni Bowlin ink pad & Burnt Orange Pro Marker pen.

Finally added a sentiment, string & of course a bell! :-)

Honey Honey...yum yum

For this week's Sunday Stamper the theme is Honey Colours/ Honeycombs so my initial thought was to do make a beehive but it didn't work the way i wanted it to...

So i then decided to make a Jar of Honey...the type you'd buy at village feté. 

Everything is totally made from card or paper which i have coloured using paints & inks, hand stamped using the individual letters to make the label. I used the date of 2009 as this is when we opened Little Paper House :)

Finally as there was a shortage of bees today, i used a beautiful butterfly instead! 

However here's 1 of my busy bees card...that i hand drew then scanned into the computer. We hope you like this too :)

So who watched the Great British Bake Off final last night? That's a craft all in it's self! So pleased John won...his cake looked amazing!

Monday Make...

Day snow...night glow!

I thought i would experiment with some different colour variations today...this snowman looks even better in the dark!! 

Next time that you feel you have done all you can with your stamp...think about changing your colours :)

Had a busy day designing tags to go to London & a special customer christmas order.

We now have 14 christmas craft fairs, so busy replenishing stock too!

Abit of metal magic...

This was a bit of a challenge for me this week...as my 1st love of choice is paper rather than using different harder materials such as metal. But after thinking for awhile i came up with this idea!...of creating a rustic door which could appear in any secret garden. i've used metal for the window panel & the hanging keys.

I love these challenges as it gets you used to trying to work with something different that pushes the craft comfort barrier.

Baby/toddler leggings...these are soooo cute!

Just arrived in this week we now stock Blade and Rose baby/toddler leggings.

'These leggings combine modern funky designs with top quality yarn, they are lovely and soft and have an extra thick waist band for comfort.'

The sizes range from 0-6months up to 3-4yrs.

The Monday Make!

Hello! Made these tags today to compliment the previous Christmas cards that I made. I've given them all a vintage look and then I've added some of our new Gingham ribbon and glitter.

If you're booking our season it card making workshop, there may be time to make one of these complimentary tags.

snowflakes...

For this week's Sunday Stamper entry with the theme being snowflakes i wanted to make a Christmas card & also wanted make it look distressed & vintage. 

I used a different size card than i normally would so that i have more room for the stamped images.

My latest workshop 'Season it' this is a Christmas card making workshop where you will be making 4 cards using stamping & inking techniques & of course not forgetting a sprinkle of glitter!

Little miss cheeky...

This my entry for the Sunday stamper...the theme this week is to make something that makes you happy so i thought i would use the drawing of my cheeky monkey as it always makes me smile :-)

The background was made with paints & inks giving it the dotty effect.

Bring on the cake...

This is my entry for Hels Sheridan Sunday stamper weekly challenge. For this week you need to use a mask or a template technique. So I decided to use my teacup template and for the pattern I simply hole punched a scrap piece of card and applied ink on it. Hope you like my little creation. In the photos above you can see most of the items I used. Why not have a go yourself and join the challenge.
