Custom Cards...

Had to design a couple of cards for a special order. The images are hand-drawn, coloured with Pro-Marker pens, a touch of craft card and a touch of string to finish them off. Remember cards can be made to order with a few days notice.

Wonderful tags day 6...

Lots to show you today, the first set of pictures are of a hand-drawn tag that I've coloured with Pro Marker pens, paint and ribbon.

These tags are what I've made to sell at The Vintage Fair that we're attending at Ashbourne Town Hall tomorrow. I've stamped an image on to brown craft card and then finished them with cream paint to give that vintage look. Hope you like them, more to share tomorrow!

P.S. As we were leaving the shop today, we heard some music and saw these wonderful morris dancers outside The Nags Head pub!

Two tags tomorrow...

We'll be sharing 2 tag designs on tomorrow's blog post so for tonight i wanted to show you 3 clean & simple card designs that i've made for the vintage fair that we are attending on Sunday at the Town Hall in Ashbourne.

The cards are mainly made from black card stock with a small section of cream card stock attached onto the front. I've simply stamped a design in black ink & used a bit of ribbon to finish.

Hope you like.

Wonderful tags day 4...

Thought i'd experiment a little bit more with the distress stickles for today's tag, i ended up going spotty mad! You might guess that my favourite dog is a Dalmatian!
So i've hand drawn a heart, coloured it red & cut out the middle also in a heart shape. Ive then layered this onto some craft card & used a Martha Stewart corner punch to create a crown effect. I've then edged all around the heart with the distress stickle, it gives a nice raised effect.
Finally attached to a craft bag with some red ribbon, painted the front panel of the craft bag with some acrylic paint just to tone in a bit more with the tag.

Hope you like tonight's tag....more to share tomorrow.

Wonderful day 3...

For this tag I've drawn a quirky little house and coloured it with the fabulous Ranger Jenny Bolin paints. I've also added some of the Tim Holtz Distress Stickles to add some tone and texture. To give a weathered look to the exterior of the house, I've scraped some of the paint away with a scratching tool. By keeping the negative space cream (the base colours of the tag), it's adds a real contrast to the tag. To finish off, I've drawn some faux stitching around the edge. This size of tag would be useful as a bookmark (at the end of the week, I will post all the sizes of the different tags). Hope you like it, more to share tomorrow.

Tags...

Wonderful tags day 2...For today's tag we've gone large! Tags can be any size you want them to be, but this one makes a big impression. Just used 1 stamp to build up a back ground & hand drawn a couple of flowers & coloured these with pro marker pens, just a bit of craft card & string to finish off.

Hope you like...more to share tomorrow.

Wonderful week of tags...

Day 1. If you want to start crafting, a good place to start is with a gift tag. It's a small area & can take a simple or complex design whatever your style, with few simple additions you've made something wonderful to adorn a gift bag or present.
To start the week i've made a tag that can peg a bag together, it can also be used afterwards to decorate your home as i have applied some magnetic to the back of the peg. The main part of the tag is made from a ticket then by adding a bit of stamping, paint & inks you build up the design. I've then layered the ticket onto a cream stamped tag & then added a touch of craft card.

Hope you like it, more to show tomorrow.

Life is tweet...

Here's my entry for this week's Polka Doodles & Hels Sheridan challenges.
For Polka Doodles the theme is Anything but a Card & for Sunday Stamper the theme is Diamonds & Pearls...i've used 1 of the paper mache heart shapes as my base for this wall hanging, i've painted the face cream & the sides/back in black acrylic paint. I've then stamped random spots in chalk ink to add decoration, the bird is a hand drawing that i cut out & attached to the heart with glue. I built up the texture on the bird & the flower by using glossy accents, glamour dust & acrylic paint. To finish a touch of stamping for the wording & a piece of gingham ribbon. Alittle more glamour dust to finish off to add that diamond sparkle!

Hope you like :)

Collage style Little Greetings...

Made a couple more cards today, without a specific sentiment so these can be used when just a little note is needed. Created my own backgrounds on both cards and finished off with some stamped and hand-drawn embellishments.

P.S. Please come and see us as we're out and about at a craft fair in Ashbourne Town Hall. Sunday 5th & Monday 6th May.
